Role Description:
Oversees and manages overall supply chain, materials, and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of the organization’s supply chain. Collaborates with multi-functional managers to plan and execute a production schedule to ensure adequacy of resources to fill customer orders. Manages and monitors vendors’ qualifications and performance to ensure they meet company requirements.

- Collaborates with department managers to ensure the timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Oversees the communication of production requirements based on customer demand and inventory-on-hand to operations team.
- Oversees the development and distribution of production schedule by workcenter, as well as any necessary changes, to operations team.
- Manages overall customer service activities including the tracking and management of the organization’s supplier ratings.
- Ensures the accuracy of inventory accounting, and manages the system inputs that effect inventory quantities and valuation.
- Manages levels of inventory-on-hand to ensure the right balance of safety stock for E&E and its customers’ purposes.
- Assesses appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, store, or deliver materials.
- Oversees coordination of transportation of materials to and from subcontractor and customer locations, while seeking to improve transport efficiency and minimize cost.
- Develops, leads, and executes purchasing strategies. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve purchasing effectiveness.
- Responsible for performance management and career development for subordinate staff; communicates plant objectives to team; drives goal setting, periodically, for each team member that considers career development and plant objectives, and evaluates team member performance to those goals timely.
- Ensures that the Production Controls team consists of sufficient and appropriate talent.
- Ensures compliance with departmental budgets.

Education/Experience/Certifications:
To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four year College or University.
Experience:
- Five to ten years related experience and/or training.
Certifications:
- American Production and Inventory Control Society (preferred but not required).
