MATERIALS MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

TH Plastics, Inc., a custom injection molder serving the appliance and automotive industries, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the following position in our Bowling Green, Ohio Molding Division.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Oversees the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to business and customer needs.

SCHEDULE:

• 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Monday – Friday

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain, or 5 years of experience in materials control
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with inventory reporting systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and material storage

• Utilizes sales forecasts for production planning and scheduling
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure on time deliveries to meet customer timelines
• Ensures accuracy of the inventory system
• Works with purchasing to schedule delivery of materials, supplies and equipment
• Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs
• Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of the inventory
• Conducts performance evaluations in a timely and constructive manner
• Establishes procedures to conduct year-end physical inventory values
• Manages and monitors storage of finished goods and purchased parts
• Oversees the shipping/receiving functions related to the purchase of materials and finished parts
• All other related duties as assigned
