JOB FUNCTION SUMMARY
- Manage production planning, materials movement, and delivery schedule
- Monitor and maintain inventory stocking position
- Manage delivery, pricing, and quality of purchased product and outside operations
- Establish and monitor purchase cost reduction programs
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate monthly shipment forecasts
- Supervise production/planning/purchasing through MRP II system
- Monitor capacity planning and take corrective actions when necessary
- Maintain departmental budgets
- Monitor customer on-time shipments
- Responsible for scheduling priority customer orders
- Negotiate all pricing with CGC suppliers
- Maintain complete pattern lists at all foundries
- Advise Finance of cost changes
- Assume responsibility for interface with functional areas at Cleveland Gear Company and all supplierSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Production Planners
- Buyers
- Stockroom, shipping and receiving personnel
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education or Certification)
- Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in MRP systems or equivalent
- Five (5) years experience in manufacturing environment
- B.S.I.M. – MBA preferred
- A.P.I.C.S./C.P.M. certification preferred
- Five (5) years experience in supervision and/or management
- Five (5) years experience in purchasing
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Five (5) years in manufacturing environment with two (2) years in production planning/materials management experience
- Two (2) years in supervision/management responsibilities
- Five (5) years experience in purchasing
