Job Overview:

Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma! The Material Handler supports the manufacturing operation by ensuring that all production work cells have the right materials, in the right quantities, at the right time. This role is responsible for pulling materials for work orders, maintaining point-of-use inventory, performing cycle counts, and replenishing materials through Kanban systems. Responsibilities:

  • Pull and stage materials according to work orders and production schedules.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
  • Compares information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
  • Generates requests for procurement of material.
  • Inspects, accepts, or rejects material received when needed.
  • Ensure material transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP/Inventory system.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or warehousing environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control, material flow, or Kanban systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read work orders, material pick lists, and part numbers accurately.
  • Helpful: Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Forklift operator or Willingness to operate a forklift and/or obtain certification 

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 40 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
