What you will do:
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the shipping, receiving, and handling of materials and coordinates the transport of materials to and from departments at the Tillamook facility. Records all inventory items received and shipped. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. May assist with the purchasing of parts and services, supplies and ingredients.
Here’s a day in the life:
Receives supplies, ingredients and part for production, maintenance and administrative departments. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading and packing list. Completes incoming ingredients inspection log.
Investigates along with QA rejected or discrepant lots and forwards information to Purchasing.
Manages the Dry-Dock operations in Microsoft D365.
Works closely with Quality on incoming material inspection. Performs rejection / return to vendor on materials as needed. Along with Quality, assures that defective material is properly quarantined to physical and systematically.
Creates transfers, shipments as needed in D365. Insures accurate and timely data is entered in the system.
Ships other material, parts, etc. as warranted. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Puts identifying information and shipping instructions onto packages. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Determines method of shipment.
Keeps all inventories (raw, intermediate, etc.) in proper rotation (FIFO). Performs cycle counts and enters inventory adjustment in D365. Performs physical counts, inventory adjustments, as needed.
Manually enters purchases requisitions for Tillamook material, items not ordered through MRP process, as authorized by appropriate manager.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public.
Communicate effectively.
Utilize a computer with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
Act as a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
Work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three years food or beverage industry.
Demonstrated experience with inventory control.
Experience using shipping software, UPS World Ship is preferred.

Must be able to move packages weighing 120 pounds onto scale for UPS shipping

Working conditions:
Administration: Individual work space, desk and computer. May not be temperature controlled, could have loud background noises. May include entering production facility and walking on uneven, slippery surfaces and encountering forklift traffic. Requires sitting majority of shift; can include standing and walking to accomplish tasks. May require stooping, bending and crouching to file, retrieve supplies. Occasional lifting of 25 pounds.
Production: Space can be crowded with manufacturing equipment. Must remain aware of forklift traffic. Noisy; some areas can be dusty. May encounter extremes in temperature. Requires standing entire shift, walking uneven, slippery surfaces, stooping, bending and crouching and climbing ladders. Duties may include repetitive motion of hands and lifting up to 55 pounds.
