Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager to support the Electro-Optical & Infrared Solutions (EOIRS) product line. The EOIRS product line includes development, transition to production and production franchise programs supporting Army, Navy, Air Force as well as international customers with significant importance to the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) future growth. In this role, the MPM will need to be a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills and be directly accountable for ensuring overall investment strategy success and supplier performance. This is an individual contributor role, but you must be able to exert influence and influence the overall objectives and long-range investment goals of the EOIRS product line. The MPM must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management.
The dedicated MPM serves as the leader for program’s supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. You are also responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program investment material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives. The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in leadership forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
This is an onsite role in our McKinney, TX location.
What You Will Do
- Identify synergies between awarded contractual scope procurements across EOIR
- Monitor, track, manage and reduce key Supply Chain metrics: PR to PO, Late to Dock, Non-Support Futures, etc. Track and report progress to 100% PO placement & manage to point of liquidation.
- Support the Acquisition community in obtaining information from the Programs.
- Overall material management for the program; maintaining statistical data related to the program health which includes cost, schedule, quality metrics and EVMS.
- Initiate and maintain accurate Investment Sales Forecasts, Sales and Operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans
- Flow down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
- Collaborate with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including commonality.
- Prepare and present weekly/Monthly during Program Performance Reviews
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or Operations experience.
- Experience in at least one of the following: Supplier Management, Material Forecasting, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Material Estimate at Complete (EAC), Earned Value (EV) and/or proposal development experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through education and experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to provide creative and systemic solutions.
- Strong analytical skills required to evaluate end-to-end planning and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.
- Experience that can be leveraged to affect change and provide creative, lasting systemic solutions to ensure MRP integrity in support of on time deliveries.
- Supplier management experience (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)
- Material Forecasting experience
- AR/CFR Knowledge and experience
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Material Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Material Forecasting

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
