Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager within the Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions Sub-Business Unit in the Raytheon Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit.
In this highly visible role, you’ll be the liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams, accountable for assigned materials provided by suppliers within the Army’s product line. The supply base includes a mix of small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors which manufacture high level assemblies, various commodities, and low to high complexity materials. This position closely partners with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various Functions within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other supporting functions to shape, develop, and execute the strategies and objectives of the product line to achieve the cost, quality, and schedule goals for the program and business unit to ensure on-time delivery to the end customer.
The successful candidate will be able to influence and communicate effectively across multiple functional departments, as well as to Program Leadership and in some cases directly with the Raytheon customer. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work both independently and well with others in a highly dynamic environment with rapidly shifting production requirements, material challenges, and competing priorities.
This is an onsite role in our McKinney, TX location.
What You Will Do
- Working closely with program and partnering functions to ensure successful supplier management and execution in support of program needs and requirements
- Provide status by preparing and presenting slides and files during team tag-ups, daily/weekly program meetings, and monthly program & customer reviews
- Participating in weekly supplier engagements to ensure required performance is met
- Maintaining/Assessing the integrity of the MRP environment and the programs’ schedule within that environment while balancing supply and demand to allow for an executable schedule
- Overall ownership of the supplier and finance management process (i.e., Risk/Opportunity, Line of Balance, Metrics, Material sales forecasts)
- Assisting procurement with supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s)
- Proactively address and complete urgent supply chain tasking (Purchase Requisitions integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), Purchase Order follow up, and by providing other pertinent direction to procurement to expedite the ordering and receipt of parts to support continuous production
- Willingness to travel to suppliers as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience in Operations, Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through education and experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to provide creative and systemic solutions.
- Strong analytical skills required to evaluate end-to-end planning and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.
- Experience that can be leveraged to affect change and provide creative, lasting systemic solutions to ensure MRP integrity in support of on time deliveries.
- Supplier management experience (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)
- Material Forecasting experience
- AR/CFR Knowledge and experience
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Material Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Material Forecasting

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
