Job Summary

As a Material Program Manager, you’re a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment with the ability to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, you are a strong leader with a demonstrated track record of delivering outstanding operations and supply chain performance with the ability to lead and influence without direct reporting relationships. In this role, you will support the program and will execute material program strategies to ensure the flawless execution of products and programs.

This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do:

  • Creating and leading material program strategies and plans.

  • Driving efforts to achieve material sales goals, while delivering efficiencies to the program.

  • Cost account management, managing budgets, and earned value reporting.

  • Lead efforts and manage projects including budgeting and financial management.

  • Issue and conflict resolution.

  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs

  • Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain functions for support, as needed.

  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.

  • Provide comprehensive Operations and Supply Chain support for gate reviews.

  • Oversight of subcontractor execution performance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • High degree of financial acumen and ability to lead efforts, including budgeting management and financial forecasting.

  • Experience interfacing with external customers and all levels of internal organization.

  • Communicating and meeting internal/external customer needs

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Developing & executing Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program goals.

  • Experience achieving goals in a Matrix organizational structure.

  • Experience with MRP Systems and or tools such as SAP, PRISM and Kinaxis

  • Knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations

  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
