Location: Arden, NC
Pay: $29-$36/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid schedule available after training (1-2 remote days per week)
We are seeking a Material Planner to support a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility focused on developing advanced power generation systems for data centers and microgrid applications. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation at the ground level and play a key role in ensuring materials are available to support production while optimizing inventory levels.
The Material Planner will work closely with production planning, customer service, purchasing, supplier quality, and scheduling teams to develop and execute supply plans, resolve material shortages, and drive on-time delivery performance.
Develop and maintain long-term supply plans based on production forecasts
Coordinate material availability to support production schedules
Resolve material shortages, backlogs, and potential supply chain disruptions
Work directly with suppliers to obtain recovery plans and improve delivery performance
Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve supply issues
Communicate shipping requirements to suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries
Utilize SAP and ERP systems to execute supplier schedules and monitor delivery performance
Track raw material inventory and help minimize excess inventory
Create reports to evaluate supplier performance and key supply chain metrics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Supplier Quality, and Customer Service
Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies while promoting a safe work environment
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Experience with production planning, scheduling, or material planning
Knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and best practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with MRP/ERP systems required
SAP experience strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
Manufacturing experience preferred
