Role Summary:
Responsible for the accurate receiving, handling, packaging, documentation, and shipping of company materials and products. Ensures inventory is moved and controlled in a timely manner and that products are protected while in transit.
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming materials, verify items against purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing lists, and inspect deliveries for loss or damage.
Mark and label containers, container tags, or products using marking tools.
Wash parts in the wash area to prepare them for shipment.
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials, and verify part numbers before packing.
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.
Prepare shipping documentation and labels, and schedule and coordinate pickups with freight carriers.
Record product, packaging, weight, shipping charges, and order information on specified forms and records.
Perform stock rotation, part identification, and shelf life checks.
Order and maintain shipping supplies.
Help research and resolve shipping discrepancies such as wrong items, missing parts, or damaged products.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School.
2–4 years of related work experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control.
Proficient using a computer and Microsoft Excel.
Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
Material handling experience a plus.
Forklift, pallet jack, and scale experience a plus (forklift certification preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, and temperature extremes.
Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and regularly lift objects over 20 pounds.
