NOW HIRING – MATERIAL HANDLER/CRANE OPERATOR

Location: Minooka, IL

Pay: $20.00/hour — $25.00+/hour after 90 days!

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM

Overtime: May be required | 5:00 AM–3:00 PM

We are seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals to join a small team supporting large stainless steel production operations. This is not a typical warehouse role. The position involves heavy materials, repetitive work, and physical labor in a manufacturing environment.

JOB DUTIES

• Direct trucks to the proper areas and doors for loading/unloading

• Receive and ship finished and raw materials

• Place protective cardboard corners on stainless steel bundles

• Band steel bundles for shipment

• Operate an overhead crane safely and efficiently

• Assist with loading and unloading materials

• Move inventory, scrap, and packaging materials to support production

• Lift up to 50 lbs., including pallets and rolls of paper

• Maintain accurate inventory locations and report changes

• Identify and report damaged product

• Complete and submit shipping/receiving paperwork

• Resolve shipping and receiving issues

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

EQUIPMENT

• Overhead crane – training provided for qualified employees
• Sit-down forklift – limited use, less than 10% of the time
• Other material-handling equipment as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with physically demanding, repetitive work
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed
• Previous manufacturing, steel, shipping/receiving, forklift, or crane experience is a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Small team environment
• PPE provided, including hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest
• Employees who demonstrate reliability and proficiency in general labor may be trained on overhead crane operations
