Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, coordinate, and oversee daily material handling, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Lead, schedule, and assign work to Material Handlers and warehouse personnel to meet operational goals and production demands.
• Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company procedures and inventory control requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory transactions through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and manual documentation as required.
• Conduct and oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment activities to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Coordinate loading and unloading of shipments while verifying quantities, inspecting materials for damage, and addressing discrepancies.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments to support operational objectives and material availability.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to promote productivity, accountability, and professional development.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
• Investigate inventory variances, shipping errors, and operational issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, material flow, and inventory control.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping performance, and productivity metrics.
• Organize warehouse locations and ensure a clean, safe, secure, and orderly work environment.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and operational support during peak periods, special projects, and emergency situations.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to inventory, warehouse operations, safety incidents, and employee performance.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, logistics, or a related environment.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics setting.
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, shipping and receiving processes, and warehouse operations.
• Experience using inventory management, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business
Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Advanced experience with ERP systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or warehouse optimization practices.
• Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, warehousing, or other regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing employee development initiatives.
• Experience managing warehouse metrics, inventory audits, and compliance programs.

Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing facility, or logistics environment. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials throughout the workday. Employees may be required to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with appropriate assistance or equipment. Work may be performed in varying temperature conditions and near moving mechanical equipment. The position may require overtime, weekends, on-call support, or shift work based on operational needs.
