Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

  • Accept, inspect, pack, and monitor merchandise entering and leaving the warehouse.
  • Create shipping documents, communicate with forwarders, and collaborate with other departments to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Prepare daily shipments, including cleaning, boxing, crating, labeling, and packing.
  • Process orders based on customers’ preferred shipping methods (e.g., UPS, Overnight).
  • Adhere to the shipping schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Receive shipments, sign paperwork upon receipt, and unload packages from incoming trucks.
  • Collaborate with procurement dept to list expected deliveries, report shortages and issues.
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged and verify packages according to orders and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
  • Update shipping and receiving logs.
  • Assist with the placement of deliveries in stock/inventory as needed.
  • Post transactions in the SAP system accurately.
  • Perform special assignments or projects as required.
  • Conduct regular maintenance to keep material handling equipment in optimal condition.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area complying with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 + years’ Shipping/Receiving experience preferably in a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Must be knowledgeable of FedEx, UPS, DHL shipping tools, creating Bills of Lading for freight shipments and how to create international documentation for customs clearance
  • Strong ERP (SAP Preferred), Excel, Word and Outlook skills required
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities in fast paced environment.
  • Position may require overtime, weekends as needed.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
