Material Handler I – Production

Job Summary

The Material Handler I – Production is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and accurately tracking component parts and materials used in production. This position ensures materials are available when needed, inventory records remain accurate, and all material handling activities are completed safely and according to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull materials and supplies from inventory and deliver them to production areas as needed.
• Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Move finished materials and products from production to the warehouse.
• Maintain organized and orderly material storage areas.
• Identify, label, count, and verify materials and supplies.
• Monitor material inventory through an ERP system and on the production floor.
• Pick and verify materials listed on production orders, confirming correct part numbers and quantities.
• Locate, pick, pack, and prepare materials and products for production.
• Communicate material shortages or inventory issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Accurately document material handling activities and inventory transactions within the ERP system.
• Perform cycle counts and follow proper inventory verification procedures.
• Operate tablets, computers, scanners, forklifts, electric trucks, pallet jacks, stepladders, and other material handling equipment.
• Complete pre-use inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Report defective materials, faulty equipment, unsafe conditions, or unusual operations to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Meet or exceed daily production requirements.
• Maintain 100% accuracy on inventory transactions and quality requirements.
• Follow established processes and material usage procedures with no unauthorized deviations.
• Ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time to support production operations.

• Heavy Material Handling
• Forklift Licensed
