About the Role:

As a Material Handler, you’ll play a vital role in our manufacturing process by ensuring that all materials are correctly staged and ready for production. You’ll coordinate with supervisors and production teams to keep jobs running smoothly and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Load overhead stainless steel IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) to the compressing mezzanine, positioning them on the designated tablet press.
  • Refill containers from super sacks as needed, ensuring the correct formula and lot numbers are used.
  • Coordinate with press operators or compressing leads on when to replace or change lots for sequential lot number batches.
  • Maintain organization of jobs staged in the mezzanine, ensuring readiness for manufacturing.
  • Work closely with compressing and blending supervisors to ensure jobs are properly staged before starting.
  • Collaborate with the production manager to ensure jobs run in the correct sequence, keeping staging areas orderly.
  • Assist in organizing the bulk staging area by the packaging/manufacturing corridor floor to keep hallways clean and safe for production.
  • Move bulk-released or "ok to transfer" product to the warehouse staging area.
  • Assist in returning super sacks and IBC containers to the wash area after job completion.
  • Wash and sanitize stainless steel IBC containers as required, especially after product changes.
  • Provide assistance to the manufacturing team as necessary.
  • Read and comprehend batch records, following manufacturing directions as required.
  • Safely operate a forklift and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

About You:

You’re a hands-on individual who thrives in a structured environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount. You have the physical stamina to handle the demands of the job and the organizational skills to keep materials flowing smoothly through the production process.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to ensure accurate staging and execution of batch record manufacturing directions.
  • Basic math skills are required (+, -, x, /).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for the entire eight-hour shift.
  • Experience operating an electric forklift or electric pallet jack safely is essential.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
