BAE Systems is seeking a Material Handler to join its organization.

Responsbilities:

• Handle receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory levels of materials within the warehouse. 
• Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site
• Performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
• Open containers using hand tools: counts, weighs and samples materials and uses computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follows department's material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verify quantity, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation.
• Work with Oracle and other computer systems including both in-house programs and customer portals.
• Work with a team and collaborate with other departments to meet production needs.
• Perform daily and periodic physical cycle counts of inventory to ensure inventory accuracy.

Typical Education and Experience

Typically a High School Diploma and 1 year work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

• High School Diploma with 1+ years of experience
• Proficient Forklift Operator
• Strong communication skill
• Must be able to work with a team
• Availability to work overtime
• Organizational skills
• Ability to physically lift objects up to 35 pounds
• A strong work ethic
• Basic Math skills
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Education

• Oracle or SAP experience
• Microsoft Office experience
• Manufacturing or Warehouse experience
• Inventory control experience
• Shipping and receiving material handler experience
• Time management skills
• Ability to work alone or as a team
