Job Summary:

As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Material Management: Receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory levels of materials within the warehouse.
• Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and conveying materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
• Task Performance: Performing a combination of tasks under specific direction, which may include shipping and/or receiving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open containers using hand tools, count, weigh, and sample materials.
• Use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and recording information.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follow departmental material handling practices and procedures, as well as customer requirements, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verify quantity and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation.

Technical Skills:

• Work with Oracle and other computer systems, including in-house programs and customer portals.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments to meet production needs.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Required Skills and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient Forklift Operator 
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing 
• Strong communication skills 
• Must be able to work with a team 
• Availability to work overtime
• Organizational skills 
• Ability to physically lift objects up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time 
• A strong work ethic
• Basic math skills
• Strong attention to detail
