AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation.  We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times.

Job Description

A Material Handler I for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location will work under limited supervision, handle and maintain the flow of inventory in our manufacturing and warehouse areas, assisting with everything from the receipt of raw materials to customer delivery.

 

The compensation for this position is $17/hr. (Opportunity for Over Time!)

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Monitor raw material inventory levels weekly along with shop supplies and report needs to purchasing.
  • Assist in unloading incoming materials and verify prior to signing receiving ticket that material is not damaged.
  • Complete receiving tickets and note any discrepancies with purchase orders.
  • Print bills of lading and other shipping documents for prearranged transportation and notify the shop of expected pickups.
  • Coordinate and assist with product loading upon the carrier’s arrival.
  • Notify logistics and customer service of any shipping delays as soon as known and provide alternate shipping times.
  • Greet suppliers, receive and sign for small package items, and create BOL for carriers.
  • Coordinate scrap pick-up and order items from local suppliers.
  • Maintain reclaim spare parts inventories and assist with UKG-related issues.
  • Assist with onboarding and issue the shop the weekly Monday schedule.
  • Print off burn packages and perform additional support duties as requested by the manager.
  • Operating a forklift with proper certifications as required by OSHA.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience maintaining shop inventory. 
  • Experience shipping and receiving. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in standard office tools including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
