Job Title:Material Handler / Delivery Driver

**Department: Inventory Control / Shipping & Receiving **

**Classification: Non-Exempt **

Reports To: Inventory Control / S & R Lead

Summary/Objective: Safely operates company vehicles to deliver or pick-up product and materials to/from customers and suppliers. Packages product for delivery and performs receiving transactions in ERP system. The driver is also responsible for maintaining the vehicles in good working condition and ensuring a maintenance schedule is adhered to. Assists with Shipping/Receiving/Inventory as needed.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to perform the essential functions below:

• Packages product to ensure product is free from damage during transport
• Transport product to various local destinations using mobile phone-based navigation apps and knowledge of area
• Load and unload product, sometimes using a forklift
• Performs receiving transactions in ERP system
• Assist with packaging, receiving, shipping and inventory when not driving.
• Assure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather and road conditions.
• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Assists with cycle counts.
• Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not supervise others.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 2+ years proven delivery driver experience
• Valid US Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Forklift experience required, certification preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to lift office products, supplies and materials up to 75 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m.
