Summary:

The General Labor / Material Handler (Cutter) is responsible for handling metal materials, measuring and cutting metal to the required specifications, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.

1st Shift 5am-1:30pm possible OT and weekends

Responsibilities:

Retrieve metal bundles from storage racks.
Measure metal materials according to work orders.
Operate a saw to cut metal to the required length.
Load and unload metal materials safely.
Inspect materials before and after cutting.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Assist with other warehouse and production tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a metal cutting saw.
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (or more with assistance/equipment).
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, metal dust, and moving machinery.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
