Position Details
- 3:00pm - Shift End (hours may vary)
- Monday - Friday + Saturday Availability .
Job Overview: As a Material Handler at Request Foods, you will be responsible for operating a Hilo/Forklift to service kitchen/production teams. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading finished product along with tracking inventory with computers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and stage product for kitchen/production teams from requisitions.
- Operate stand-up and sit-down lift truck in a safe and timely manner to assure proper unloading and storage of received materials and finished products.
- Responsible for the accurate picking and recording of orders.
- Use computer terminal to look up and locate inventory information.
- Loading and moving frozen ingredients from the receiving dock into appropriate freezer locations.
- Maintain cleanliness of dry storage, freezer and dock areas.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of Stand up - Hilo/Forklift experience preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.
Skills and Qualities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Good organizational skills and detailed oriented.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in cold environment (Freezer)
- Must have proficient math skills, and basic computer skills.
