We have an opening for a Material Handler. Second shift 11:30am – 8:00pm with some overtime and some Saturdays.

Job Description

Responsible for stocking goods and materials from incoming POs along with pulling product according to pre-determined work orders to maintain desired level in supermarket. This position is critical for supporting manufacturing processes to ensure the customer receives a quality product in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

Working from pre-determined work orders, physically pull parts and materials by part number, description and location and deliver to supermarket. Writing shortages on work orders and trying to locate necessary product in other areas. Reporting discrepancies and completing appropriate paperwork when count or location on work order is incorrect. Correct locations on work orders as needed. Ability to use a forklift, pick up product and materials from receiving area and stock neatly in bins and pallet location. Count cartons by number before stocking. Under direction of Supervisor or Lead Person, re-arrange racks to accommodate stock. Complete appropriate paperwork, note location and counts for inventory updating. Deliver shortage items on previous work orders to staging area. Deliver supplies to production area as required.


Education and Experience:

High School or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience working in a warehouse preferred.

Ability to lift, push/pull and stand for long periods of time.

Functional Skills and Knowledge:

Working knowledge of AS400. Basic math skills and moderate data entry skills. Forklift experience required.
