Job Description

Our Client in Wickliffe has immediate needs for Material Handlers on the 1st Shift~

MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL TOW MOTOR EXPERIENCE & HAVE THE ABILITY TO MOVE AROUND LARGE MATERIALS (STEEL BEAMS OR SHEET METAL)

• Pay is $20.00-$21.50/hr
• 1st Shift 6 AM to 2:30 PM M-F
• This job is in Wickliffe, OH

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

1. Safely operate a forklift for routine established work, must be licensed.

2. Lifting and moving 5-10,000 lbs. steel beams and metal materials

3. Capable of making routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic banding and packaging issues or seeking assistance from a supervisor

4. Report and correctly document Bill of Lading, incoming steel, outgoing finished product, and safely and properly load and unload trucks

5. Perform equipment preventative maintenance checks daily on equipment

6. TeamworkandCommunicationbetween shifts ismandatory

7. Package parts according to company procedures

8. Band bundles according to company procedures

9. Each shift is responsible for properly banding and packaging finish bundles in accordance with the company's banding procedures. Supervisors and Quality will address packaging discrepancies should the need arise, only supervisors or quality

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Basic knowledge and understanding of material handling, including all safety guidelines
2. Demonstrate competency in basic shop math
3. Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance
4. Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation
5. Good verbal and writtencommunicationskills
6. Strong orientation towardquality,safety, andcontinuous improvement

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours a day

• Lift, carry, push, and or pull 1-50 lbs frequently

• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, and reach outward frequently

• Ability to work in a 65-88 degree Fahrenheit work environment

• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hand protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
