Job Overview:

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate handling, movement, and storage of materials and products within the warehouse, ensuring timely flow to production.


Responsibilities:

  • Receives and unpacks all shipments from suppliers and ensures that goods received agree with what was ordered.
  • Timely delivery of materials and products to applicable person and or department.
  • Responsible for safe and proper storage of materials in stock room.
  • Checks and maintains inventory.
  • Releases laminate required by production and maintains accurate inventory on a daily basis.
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor and/or Manager.

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic computations is required in counting and checking inventory received and releasing any products to the floor for production.
  • Experience operating forklifts/pallet jacks.
  • Occupational safety & health administration (OSHA) forklift certification is a big plus
  • Must be able to communicate, cooperate and work effectively with others
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
