Job Overview:

Material Handler 

1st Shift: 5am-3pm, M-TH. with frequent overtime on Fridays (8 hours, 5am-1pm)

2nd Shift: 3:15pm-1:15am, M-TH, with frequent overtime on Fridays (8 hours, 1pm-9pm)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory and manage it according to company standards and guidelines
  • Review operational production schedules and requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including receiving material, material transfers, cycle counts, and troubleshooting quantity discrepancies between physical stock and records
  • Respond to Customer Service inquiries and Production orders
  • Process orders for shipment
  • Review order quality requirement
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
  • Backfill other areas within the inventory control department as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl repeatedly
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and change priorities
  • Team-oriented approach to projects
  • Ability to be trained and pass certification requirements to drive stand up lift, forklift, ride on pallet jack, and stock chaser
  • Ability to follow written work orders
  • Ability to use a tape measure and read prints
  • Ability to work quickly and with accuracy
  • Has excellent attention to detail and is good with numbers
  • Proficient with computers and other standard office technology
  • Superior organizational and communication skills
  • Related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics is a plus
  • Familiarity with IFS enterprise resource planning software is a plus
