We are looking for a Material Handler to support our team at our location in Independence, KY.

Summary       

Loads, unloads, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.                                            

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Requisition and move material as needed to Direct Labor personnel.
• Move completed parts to the next operation.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Lifting heavy objects by hand or forklift
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products. 
• Coordinates projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required.  
• Able to handle lights weighing 20-60 pounds
• Personal Protective Gear Required: Steel Toe Shoes & Safety Glasses
• Previous forklift experience
