Material Handler Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team at our facility located in Gloucester, MA, 01930. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. Maintain inventory and counts. Packaging, shipping, and receiving. Forklift and pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas
• Move materials to designated locations within the warehouse
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport materials
• Keep accurate records of inventory and materials movement
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed while handling materials

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Material Handler or in a similar role
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Utilize hand tools and operating material handling eqipment
• Stock balances, coordinating and redefine shortages, etc.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

You should be proficient in:

• UPS WorldShip
• High School / GED
• Basic Computer Skills
• Forklift Licensed
• Packaging Experience
• Shop Math Skills
