POSITION SUMMARY
The Material handler, based on process know-how, knowledge, and trouble shooting skills, carries out independently, safely and responsibly all operations required to operate an industrial lift-truck, material handling equipment, and work effectively in the Material Handling Process using all written procedures and verbal instructions. This individual may be involved with the generation, collection, storage, and preparation of shipments of hazardous materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Distributes quality products by loading trucks in a safe manner and physically check that products are not damaged.
• Pick orders and delivers all products from location in warehouse to loading dock without errors.
• Perform cycle counts for accurate quantities in inventory.
• Assembles, wraps, boxes, and applies labels on orders to be shipped out.
• Ensures accurate shipments by providing checker accountabilities on all outgoing products.
• Moves full or empty containers in warehouse to maintain orderly work area.
• Uses best practice in housekeeping by maintaining work area in an orderly and clean manner to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assists in any other shipping/warehouse-related function as needed.
• Maintains positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, coworkers, and supervisor
• Assembling orders.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Processing Bills of Lading and Receiving/Shipping paperwork.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Computer skills-Microsoft Office, Warehouse Mgt System.
• Wear of personal protective equipment to meet health and safety criteria.
• Use of heat gun.

Desired Background
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Five years of experience in a material handling function with forklift experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Able to lift 55lbs (25kg)
