Founded in 1984, Best Formulations LLC, a diversified nutraceutical and personal care company headquartered in City of Industry, California, is a contract manufacturer of thousands of branded SKUs, including high quality nutritional supplements including softgels, tablets, capsules, powders, teas, dietary supplements, and vegetarian softgels.

About the role:

As a Material Handler I- Med you will be responsible for providing support to the Medicine Department, to perform manual duties related to receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, verifying weights, kitting materials, delivering a variety of prepackaged kits, materials, equipment and/or supplies.

How will you contribute:

• Ensuring that materials and/or products are clearly marked and labeled for tracking and identification.
• Ensuring products are safely stored in warehouse manually and with forklift.
• Correctly label quantities and return materials back to their proper location manually, with pallet jack, with truck and/or forklift.
• Delivering packages manually, with pallet jack or with forklift to appropriate areas/departments.
• Limited driving Company vehicle/truck (within half a mile) to second Company building location.
• Receives released materials from QO and place in appropriate bins.
• Identifies allergen products and stores them separately from other products.
• Responding in a timely manner to requests by other departments.
• Use computer to pull up emails from production planners. Use that info, print out the appropriate batch ticket and required ingredients. Then locate the required ingredients to the specific batch ticket.
• Responsible for data accuracy on all controlled forms.
• Report shortages, damages, and inaccuracies, to shift supervisor/manager.
• Coordinates the delivery of kitting materials with supporting departments.
• Adhere to FIFO protocols unless otherwise directed.
• Daily monitors required production stock
• Correctly dispose of empty drums.
• Ensuring that all job duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complying with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
• Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.

• Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
• Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate.
• One (1) year of work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• One (1) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment
• Current forklift Certificate.
• Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment:

• Noise level for this work environment is typically moderate to high. Some work areas require hearing protection for an 8-hour work day.
• Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during the course of work shift.
• Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, reach, pull, push and tilt object in the performance of job function.
• Requires the essential use of hands, speech, eyesight, and hearing.
• Lifting limitations for this position: 40-50 lbs. May have to manipulate heavier containers.
• Periods of odoriferous environment.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Personal Protective Equipment provided as necessary.
• Work environment may involve exposure to chemicals, solutions, detergents, or solvents that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of personal protective equipment.
• Work environment may involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shell Fish, Milk, Egg, Tree nuts, and Sesame.

This position is currently classified as on-site.

Base Hourly Range: $17.00 - $20.00, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
