Material Handler

1st shift, Mon-Fri, typically 5:00am-1:30pm, hours may run 5:00am-3:30pm as needed for OT

Pay Starts at $18 or more per hour!

Job Summary

The Material Handler works under limited supervision, responsible to perform a variety of duties efficiently with high quality results.Hours for this position are from Monday - Friday: 5:00A - 1:30P with overtime at times, until 3:30P

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming material from our suppliers.

• Uses a scan gun and printer to scan in the materials and print the appropriate label for the materials.

• Works under limited supervision to complete tasks in an efficient timeframe with high quality.

• Occasionally pulls and stages material in designated staging areas, for both shipping and production use.

• Occasionally responsible for packaging shipments, this includes the use of nail guns and saw equipment.

• Utilize a forklift and overhead cranes.

• Maintains, inspects, and cleans equipment as required.

• Keeps an organized work area by performing various housekeeping and maintenance functions following 6S philosophies.

• Follows all safety rules and regulations, environmental regulating procedures and utilizes required safety equipment when appropriate.

• Performs other duties as required.

• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Position requires working knowledge of inventory management and prior experience in Receiving is required.

• Material handling equipment experience.

• Incumbent must follow all safety rules, environmental procedures and utilize required safety equipment.

• One year experience in the production or distribution field.

• Attained high school diploma or equivalent.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

• Fully site based
