We are seeking an experienced Materials Handler to join our team at Elemet Manufacturing. The mission of the Material Handler is to maintain production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished products. As well as preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists and assembling parts as needed. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Monitor production processes to pick up, load, and move products efficiently.
•    Designate and adjust storage areas based on production and shipping needs, ensuring the location database is regularly updated.
•    Verify product locations and oversee the movement of goods to staging areas, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
•    Maintain accurate records by completing necessary forms, reports, logs, and other documentation.
•    Conduct inventory counts as required to ensure stock accuracy.
•    Adhere to all safety protocols when handling materials and actively participate in safety training initiatives.
•    Organize materials in storage areas to maximize space and enhance accessibility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
•    Monitor and replenish pallet inventory in accordance with established policies.
•    Help with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
•    Assist and support the Operations Manager with various tasks as directed.
•    Assemble cones and other products at a daily rate with accuracy and consistency 
•    Assist Production Supervisor with projects or tasks as needed
•    Be a team player and help in other departments as needed

Qualifications
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    At least 18 years old
•    1-3 years of forklift operating or other related experience
•    Manufacturing experience a plus

Skills and Competencies
•    Basic computer skills
•    Strong communication and organizational skills
•    Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and applications is a plus
•    Comfortability with power tools
•    Ability to twist, bend, push, pull and lift to 50 pounds consistently
•    Experience with inspection equipment a plus

Physical Requirements
•    Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis 
•    Ability to stand for up to 10 hours 
•    Excellent hand/eye coordination 
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools 
•    Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina  
•    Consistently wear personal protective equipment 
•    Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels

The expected base pay range for this position is between $18 and $20 per hour.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
