Job Overview:

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Senior Material Flow Engineer. This role is responsible for designing and optimizing end-to-end material-flow processes, implementing advanced logistics automation solutions, and driving efficient supply chain operations from the warehouse through production.

Job Duties:

  • Design and develop end-to-end material flow and logistics processes from external warehouses to manufacturing operations
  • Partner with production, manufacturing engineering, packaging, logistics, and facility planning teams to optimize supply chain operations
  • Create detailed value stream maps, warehouse layouts, routing strategies, and logistics process designs
  • Implement and support automated material handling systems including conveyors, AGVs, ASRS, and other warehouse automation technologies
  • Develop analytical models to evaluate throughput, storage capacity, sequencing strategies, batching methods, and operational costs
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate engineering activities to meet program milestones
  • Ensure projects achieve safety, quality, cost, timing, and throughput objectives
  • Lead initiatives that leverage automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve material flow efficiency and operational performance

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of supply chain, logistics, or material flow engineering experience
  • 5+ years developing end-to-end material flow processes for high-volume manufacturing or distribution environments
  • 3+ years of facility layout planning using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar 2D/3D design software
  • Experience with material handling automation including conveyors, AGVs, ASRS, or comparable technologies
  • Experience using simulation software such as FlexSim, AnyLogic, or similar modeling platforms
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable data visualization tools
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive engineering and operational decisions

Desired:

  • Master's degree or MBA in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
  • PMP, APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification
  • 7+ years of supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, or program management experience
  • Experience with MES, MRP, WMS, or YMS platforms
  • Experience using Python for data analysis or process automation
  • Experience supporting automotive, electronics, or other high-volume manufacturing operations
  • Experience implementing first-principles engineering solutions across complex manufacturing environments
