Material Coordinator - Job SummaryThe Material Coordinator is responsible for receiving, identifying, documenting, organizing, staging, and controlling materials used in the fabrication shop. This position works closely with the Shop Foreman, QA/QC, Purchasing, Project Management, forklift operators, welders, and fitters to ensure materials are available, properly identified, traceable, and staged to support production schedules.

The Material Coordinator manages material receiving and inventory activities, maintains accurate material records and traceability, coordinates material movement and staging, and communicates shortages or discrepancies that could impact production. This role is essential to maintaining efficient shop operations, supporting quality requirements, and ensuring materials are handled safely and effectively throughout the fabrication process.
