Compensation:
Target base $125,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience)
Bonus:
18% annual discretionary bonus

A growing global manufacturer in the
consumer packaged goods (CPG / FMCG)
sector is seeking a
Planning & Materials Manager
to lead production planning, procurement, and materials management for a high-volume manufacturing facility.
This role sits on the plant leadership team and plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials that keeps production running efficiently. The position oversees planning, procurement, warehouse operations, and logistics while partnering closely with operations leadership to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the
production planning and materials management processes
for the plant
- Oversee procurement of
raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies
to support uninterrupted production
- Manage
MRP planning and material flow, ensuring accuracy and reliability of planning data
- Serve as the site lead in the
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
process
- Optimize
warehouse and logistics operations, including inbound, outbound, and internal material movement
- Act as the site
SAP key user
for planning, procurement, and logistics modules while maintaining accurate master data
- Lead and develop a small team including planners and logistics/warehouse leadership
- Partner with operations, quality, and corporate supply chain leadership to improve planning performance and inventory health
- Participate in plant leadership meetings and contribute to broader operational strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (business, supply chain, engineering, logistics, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in
production planning, procurement, materials management, or supply chain leadership within manufacturing
- Experience in
food, beverage, CPG, pharmaceutical, or other fast-moving consumer goods environments strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of
MRP systems and production planning processes
- Hands-on experience with
SAP or comparable ERP systems; ability to troubleshoot data issues is a plus
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience managing and developing team members in a manufacturing environment
- Continuous improvement mindset; Lean/Six Sigma familiarity is beneficial but not required
