PRYER Aerospace is seeking an Experienced Master Production Scheduler. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Acts on order releases action and exception messages from the company system (Epicor).
- Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.
- Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
- Manages schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
- Evaluates, recommends and implements proper resource groups in order to maximize proper machine utilization.
- Evaluates, recommends and implements economic build quantity concepts including understand the financial impact of build quantities, buffer stock and min/max decisions
- Interfaces with Manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and directors on material status and production planning issues.
- Expedites operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Coordinates Production by expediting priority parts; negotiation of date changes with the Customer Managers; and handling issues concerning lead time and delivery.
- Coordinates the Production Control Analyst activities regarding creation of production routers, material requirements for future orders and reissuing of routers for scrap and/or rework.
- Creates and maintains weekly charts & reports for Production Directors data analysis relating to performance to internal schedules, long- and short-term capacity analysis and planning, recovery plans for delinquent backlog, staffing requirements and strategic prioritization of resources.
- Coordination with Engineering and Planning for all New Part Introduction to create and maintain a schedule of activities through release of routers to production.
- Creates and maintains monthly sales forecast including end of month analysis of overages, shortfalls and reason code trends.
- Support the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).
Qualifications
EDUCATION: College degree desired. High school diploma or equivalent may be acceptable with at least two years master scheduling experience utilizing an MRP system. Experience with EPICOR ERP system preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to convert manufacturing quantity and schedule issues into financial concepts for economic decision making.
- Ability to work with fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as FTE’s, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have high level of expertise in internet software, manufacturing ERP software, and Microsoft Excel and Word.
