Description
The Master Scheduler will balance demand, capacity and supplies to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department or facility. The Master Scheduler is a core participant of the monthly Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and works with the commercial team and demand planner to align on the demand plan as a key input to the master scheduling process. The Master Scheduler creates the rolling master schedule and works with the production planning team to align production planners and master schedule execution.
Requirements
· Creation of weekly rolling master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates. Aligns master schedule quantities with monthly SIOP plan.
· Execute rough cut capacity planning to analyze the proposed demand plan and develop production schedules which most effectively match commercial requirements with plant capabilities, while meeting overall business requirements and plans.
· Review proposed schedule changes and recommend acceptance, rejection, or alternatives consistent with business requirements, plant capabilities, cost, staffing constraints and business requirements.
· Review customer orders and ensure orders have been created in accordance to lead time and minimum lot size parameters.
· Attend customer meetings as required to support commercial/customer service teams providing delivery dates and capabilities.
· Develop and maintain the tools as needed to determine the impact of proposed schedule changes on plant load.
· Identify and report on gaps between established capacities, inventory, and demand.
· Monitor production attainment and review with plant management team.
· Identify opportunities for inventory days on hand reduction.
· Review potential raw material / component shortages withe the buyer planning team and adjust master schedule accordingly.
· Participate in and support monthly SIOP process.
· Monitor MRP Exception Messages.
· Maintain PFEP for make items and finished goods.
· Reconcile inventory discrepancies with Inventory Analyst.
· Supports plant safety rules and safety observation process.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

· APICS CPIM certification or similar is preferred.
