Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Master Planner for our Sheet Metal Fabrication facility located in Milwaukee, WI, 53224. In this role, you will lead our planning efforts, ensuring efficient production schedules and optimal resource allocation. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.
• Lead and manage a team of planners and production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the facility.
• Utilize ERP software to track inventory levels, production progress, and scheduling changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust plans as necessary to meet operational goals.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and career development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a planning role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their practical application.
• Experience with scheduling and production planning, demonstrating a keen understanding of workflow optimization.
• Proficiency in ERP software; experience with specific systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
