JOB SUMMARY:
Master Maintenance Mechanic’s responsibilities is to maintain machines in the best running condition, troubleshoot any machine problems, responds to all maintenance calls promptly and solve machine related problems with the least amount of down time. Mechanics will perform the following: basic electrical troubleshooting and basic fabrication (such as lathe, mill, mig/tig welding, etc) comprehend PLC ladder logics, and safely use a variety of hand tools, pressing equipment, lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, sanders, and lift equipment. Maintenance Mechanic will also perform shut down procedures, check the power, water, and vacuum pressure of machines and maintain required written reports and documentation. Duties also include performing troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on production support equipment such as compressors, chillers, dryers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, fix pumps, etc.
All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging International work rules, code of conduct and safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety goggles.
WORK DEVICES/TOOLS: consist of the following: basic hand tools, diagnostic equipment (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.), maintenance required devices (calipers, dial indicators), percussion reading tools, scissor/boom lifts, ladders, parts washers, cherry picker, electrical troubleshooting equipment, fabrication equipment (welder, grinders, lathe, mill, band saw, drill press)
