Master Electrician / Certified Electrical Contractor (EC) – Florida

Industrial / Marine Electrical Projects | Up to $55/hr + Travel Opportunities

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Master Electrician with an active Florida Certified Electrical Contractor (EC) license to support industrial and marine electrical projects throughout Florida and surrounding regions.

This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in industrial, marine, manufacturing, shipyard, heavy commercial, or infrastructure electrical environments who is comfortable leading projects, troubleshooting complex systems, and traveling to job sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-lines, and electrical drawings
  • Work with switchgear, transformers, motor controls, PLCs, panels, conduit, and power distribution systems
  • Lead crews and coordinate electrical activities on active job sites
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and safety standards
  • Support project planning, material coordination, and field execution
  • Assist with commissioning, maintenance, and system upgrades

Requirements

  • Active Florida Certified Electrical Contractor (EC) License
  • Master Electrician-level experience
  • Strong industrial, marine, shipyard, manufacturing, or heavy commercial electrical background
  • Experience with troubleshooting and electrical installations
  • Ability to travel up to 30% during peak project periods
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Strong understanding of NEC and electrical safety standards

Preferred Experience

  • Marine or shipyard electrical work
  • Industrial controls, PLCs, VFDs, or automation systems
  • High-voltage or power distribution experience
  • Foreman, lead, or project management responsibilities

Compensation

  • Pays up to $55/hr
