Job Overview:

About the Opportunity

Are you currently employed and simply curious about a better opportunity? We would still like to talk.

We want great technicians spending their time diagnosing and repairing vehicles—not dealing with corporate dealership politics. Join an established Rochester Hills shop serving the community since 1992, featuring a small, experienced team where your expertise truly matters. For the right person, this role offers a clear path to grow from A-Level Technician to Lead Technician, Shop Foreman, or Technical Manager as the business expands.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: $45 – $55/hour with weekly pay

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No Saturdays or Sundays)

  • Paid Time Off: 80 hours PTO + 72 hours paid sick time

  • Paid Holidays: 6 paid holidays

  • Health Benefits: Health insurance (employer pays 50%)

  • Career Growth: ASE testing and certifications paid for by the shop

  • Welcome Bonus: Signing / retention bonus of up to $5,000

What You’ll Work On

You’ll handle the type of work that requires real experience and diagnostic ability, focusing on quality over rushing cars through the shop:

  • Advanced vehicle diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting

  • Drivability concerns

  • Transmission diagnosis, repair, and replacement

  • Engine diagnosis and major mechanical repair

  • Complex repairs other technicians may not be equipped to handle

  • General A-Level automotive repair when needed

You’ll have the independence to diagnose vehicles properly and recommend the right repair every time.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience

  • Strong diagnostic and electrical abilities

  • A-Level / Master-level mechanical skills

  • Transmission experience strongly preferred

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Your own professional tools

  • ASE certifications are preferred, but proven ability matters more than certificates
