Masking / Demasking Technician

Responsibilities
- Participate in a masker certification program during the first 6 to 12 months to develop required skills and knowledge
- Perform masking and/or demasking of products undergoing parylene coating processes
- Assist with cleaning, surface preparation, inspection, packaging, shipping, receiving, fixture refurbishment, and other production-related tasks as needed
- Follow all designated processes, work instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs), and verbal instructions
- Perform masking, demasking, and inspection tasks using specified methods, materials, hand tools, microscopes, and support equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, refurbish, and reassemble coating fixtures when required
- Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures when applicable
- Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance
- Operate precision measuring instruments and accurately record results as needed
- Work in a clean room environment while following PPE, hygiene, and clean room protocols
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and orderly
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Properly dispose of, package, label, ship, or inspect hazardous materials and waste in accordance with regulatory requirements when assigned
- Support other departments and perform additional duties based on business needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Ability to clearly speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to communicate basic production data, instructions, quality issues, and related information verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform precision masking and demasking tasks
- Ability to distinguish colors including red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet
