Reporting to the General Manager of SAI, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing marketing plans, strategies and tactics to meet annual budget (revenue and profit) objectives set by SAI. Assist in providing focus and direction to the sales organization regarding priorities, category highlights, key customers/market developments, product innovation direction and development needs. Play a leading role in the development and execution of pricing, promotion, and go to market strategies which allow the unit to meet its targeted growth and profitability goals. Create and develop impactful social media platforms and campaigns aimed at enhancing company image and highlighting differentiating factors.

What You’ll Do:

• Track and understand the industry and market, being able to assist in the formulation and presentation of a current situation analysis (key market segments, Sensient position, competitive assessments), key issues impacting segment (consumer/market dynamics, internal/external issues/threats), trend assessment, key customer targets and a tactical plan for achieving growth targets.
• Identifies customer requirements, defines markets, evaluates competitors and establishes target market share.  Develops and implements product branding and position plans
• Analyzes market research and identifies business opportunities.
• Analyzes key cost drivers and assists in the development and implementation of pricing strategies and monitors gross profit margins.
• Researches and develops pricing policies and recommends appropriate sales channels and pricing strategies.
• Works with Sales in the development and delivery of customer presentations and may assist where required. 
• Prepares and completes action plans for advertising, selling materials and trade show promotions, attends customer and supplier presentations as required.
• Analyzes ROI on marketing campaigns and adjusts tactics to improve efficiency.
• Lead all web-based initiatives including; websites, social media, digital promotional campaigns.
• Establishes budgets in line with business unit strategies and needs, monitors performance against budget. Analyzes ROI of overall Marketing spend and continuously adjusts allocation to improve spend efficiency.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in marketing, business, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred.
• 10 or more years of marketing experience, including experience leading marketing initiatives and developing strategies that support business growth.
• Experience in manufacturing and business-to-business environments, preferably supporting companies that serve consumer packaged goods (CPG) customers.
• Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, customer requirements, product positioning, pricing, and profitability.
• Ability to translate market and consumer insights into practical strategies, priorities, and actionable plans.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Commercial, Technical, and global teams.
• Experience with digital marketing, social media, and customer-facing marketing programs; experience supporting the United States market is preferred.

About Sensient Agricultural Ingredients:
Sensient Agricultural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Agricultural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - 148,000. Pay is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the Turlock, California location and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
