Position Summary

The Marketing Manager supports Hoffman’s hybrid marketing model across all four companies by coordinating shared marketing priorities, maintaining core marketing standards, and helping business-level marketing team members execute effectively. This role resides within the main Hoffman company and serves as a key link between corporate marketing resources, and the marketing specialists aligned to each business.

This position is designed for a candidate with approximately five years of relevant experience who can balance hands-on execution with strong coordination and project leadership. The role does not directly supervise all marketing staff in the businesses, but it provides guidance, structure, and support through dotted-line relationships and cross-company collaboration. The role directly supervises the Marketing & Events Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing calendars, priorities, and planning processes across all four companies.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives that align with Hoffman goals while allowing flexibility for company-specific needs.
  • Assist CEO with key marketing messaging, communications and materials.
  • Manage events management team, overseeing all company sponsored events
  • Maintain brand standards, messaging guidelines, templates, and shared marketing processes to improve consistency across the organization.
  • Provide day-to-day coordination and dotted-line support to company-level marketing specialists, helping align efforts without direct supervisory authority.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across business-level marketing team members, including sharing best practices, coordinating campaigns where appropriate, and reducing duplication of effort.
  • Draft and coordinate press releases, media statements, award submissions, community announcements, and executive talking points.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry, trade, and local media contacts.
  • Partner with leadership and department heads to develop clear, timely internal communications for company updates, initiatives, events, and organizational changes.
  • Support executive communications, including leadership messages, employee announcements, presentations, and talking points.
  • Ensure PR and internal communications are aligned with the company’s brand voice, culture, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Support management of shared marketing tools and resources, including website standards, content systems, vendor coordination, marketing technology, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with company leaders and local marketing team members to understand market needs, campaign requests, and growth priorities.
  • Assist in developing marketing reports and dashboards that improve visibility into campaign activity, outcomes, and return on investment.
  • Help manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and shared marketing vendors to ensure quality, consistency, and efficient use of budget.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and coordination within Hoffman’s hybrid marketing structure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or marketing operations roles.
  • Experience working across teams, departments, or business units preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, influence stakeholders, and drive follow-through without full direct-line authority.
  • Working knowledge of brand standards, campaign planning, marketing processes, and performance reporting.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools, content management systems, CRM or marketing technology platforms, and vendor coordination preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in a B2B, technical, industrial, construction, mechanical services, or service-oriented business environment preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Cross-functional coordination and collaboration.
  • Influence without direct authority.
  • Strong organization and follow-through.
  • Brand stewardship and consistency.
  • Business partnership and responsiveness.
  • Data awareness and continuous improvement mindset.

Reporting Structure

This role resides at the corporate level and supports all four Hoffman companies within a hybrid marketing model. Marketing specialists or marketing managers in the businesses would maintain direct reporting relationships within their company structures and have a dotted-line relationship to this role for coordination, standards, and shared marketing support.

Role Purpose

This role is intended to strengthen coordination and consistency across Hoffman’s marketing efforts without shifting too much decision-making away from the individual businesses. It is well suited for an emerging marketing leader who can operate effectively in a matrixed environment, build partnerships across teams, and help the organization balance local responsiveness with enterprise alignment.
