CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Enterprise Marketing group. We are seeking a Marketing Intern to support our ag retail operations in executing marketing efforts for agronomy, energy, grain, animal nutrition and seed. You will participate and lead a variety of projects in the following categories: advertising, marketing and customer communications, digital marketing, photography, promotion services, publications and web sites. You must be detail-oriented, independent, and creative with excellent communications skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.


  • Work with regional marketing and communications team based in South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado and Washington.
  • Write and design for online and print.
  • Work on communication and image planning, including branding and image strategies for both specific campaigns and general communication needs.
  • Support digital marketing channels, including content creation and analyzing analytics.
  • Maintain and update Google My Business accounts.
  • Participate and lead special projects, which may include assistance in meeting preparation, survey work and analysis, and development and execution of various marketing communications campaigns.
  • Able to travel for assignments (up to 50% of time)

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Working towards a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, leadership, business, agricultural journalism/communications or a related degree
  • Basic experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience working with student organizations, event planning and communications
  • Must have valid driver’s license

Additional Qualifications

  • Background or coursework in agriculture
  • Reside in area central to work being done (North Dakota/South Dakota/Minnesota) (Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma) (Montana, Washington)
