Job Description

Responsibilites

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts specifications.
• Lay out, measure, cut, fit and align structural steel plates, stiffeners, bulkheads, and other vessel components.
• Prepare joints and position materials for welding.
• Use cutting torches, grinders, and fitting tools safely.
• Check dimensions and alignment to ensure work meets specifications.
• Follow shipyard safely procedures and work closely with welders and other trades.

Qualifications

• Previous structural fitting experience in a shipyard or marine construction setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
• Experience in using structural fitting tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical work, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights assigned.
• Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Empolyment Requirements
