Tideman Marine, a division of United Plastic Fabricating, designs and manufactures high-density polyethylene (HDPE) boats for military and commercial marine use. Based in Ocala, Florida, USA, Tideman Marine operates a cutting-edge facility dedicated to designing and constructing welded HDPE vessels and custom marine products.

The Mechanical Assembler performs a wide variety of tasks in a small industrial boat manufacturing facility 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs various outboards
• Installs various types of equipment
• Installation of all wiring, fuel and control and oil systems
• Install correct size and approved fuel, exhaust and water hoses
• Installs steering systems in accordance with OEM instruction
• Calibrate gauges in accordance with OEM instructions
• Familiarity with ABYC standards and install equipment according to its guidelines
• Ability to install various drive systems such as water jets, inboard gas and diesel, stern drive, shaft drive and various outboards
• Ability to fabricate equipment panels/brackets as necessary
• Ability to install (including separation of systems) fresh/raw water and sanitary systems

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Education or GED equivalent
• 3 years of electrical experience preferred
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to read and understand prints
• ABYC Standards certification a plus
