Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on technician with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing marine diesel engines and related vessel systems. This is a full-time opportunity for someone looking to join an experienced marine service team and build a long-term career in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair marine diesel engines
• Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Troubleshoot engine, fuel, cooling, exhaust, and related systems
• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues
• Perform engine installations, replacements, and related service work as needed
• Conduct testing and sea trials to verify repairs
• Clearly document work performed and communicate repair findings
• Work alongside other technicians to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of diesel, marine, heavy equipment, or related mechanical experience preferred
• Marine diesel experience strongly preferred
• Experience with brands such as Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Cummins, Caterpillar, MAN, or similar is valuable
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Understanding of marine mechanical and electrical systems is a plus
• ABYC or manufacturer certifications are a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable, professional, and mechanically strong
