A leading electronics testing company is looking for a **Manufacturing Technician - Blanchard Technician. **The ideal candidate has from two to five years of experience in optical inspection for plano optics, including prisms and ROMs.

Manufacturing Technician - Blanchard Technician Responsibilities:

  • Use mechanical and/or optical measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, autocollimators, and/or other related test equipment).
  • Use of computer-automated test systems and entering results.
  • Use of laser alignment and test systems.
  • Use of hand tools and mechanical fixturing for mechanical assembly.
  • Perform cleaning and inspection of optical components and assemblies using approved solvents.

Manufacturing Technician - Blanchard Technician Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in optical inspection for plano optics, including prisms and ROMs.
  • Experience working on new product introduction programs
  • Experience with laser test and alignment systems.
  • Experience operating optical test systems.
  • Able to assist to help develop optical assembly process with feedback to engineers
  • Very good hand-to-eye coordination
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic optics technology
  • Adequate visual acuity to perform visual inspection of optical surfaces i.e., color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Computer skills for basic MS Office software required, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiar with working with optical components like lenses, mirrors, and prisms.
  • Familiar with working with interferometers, laser rails, and optical CMMs.
