This is a full time onsite first shift position working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our production machinery and facility equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Support and maintain manufacturing equipment including but not limited to:
  • SMT equipment (Screen printers, SPI, pick and place, reflow ovens)
  • AOI / AXI inspection equipment
  • In-line cleaning and material handling systems
  • Selective and wave solder systems
  • Board Routers
  • Conformal coating systems
Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement on machinery to prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions using diagnostic tools, schematics, and manuals.
Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, debugging, and testing of new machinery and upgrades.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support data-driven decisions and audits.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaboration: Coordinate with production operators and engineering teams to resolve recurring equipment problems and improve operational efficiency.
Parts Inventory: Monitor inventory levels of critical spare parts and order replacements as needed.

Required Skills and Education

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, multimeters).
  • Documentation: Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on-call for emergencies.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Technical certification or Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • Equipment maintenance experience of circuit card manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Grand PM and Maximo systems
  • Familiar with SMT equipment (Screen printers, reflow ovens pick and place, etc.)
  • Experience with maintenance of machine shop fabrication equipment. (CNC centers, lathes, mills etc.)
  • Familiar with OSHA safety compliance.
