2nd Shift Team Lead – Manufacturing
The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing production on 2nd shift by coordinating daily workflow, assigning work, monitoring quality, and supporting the team to ensure production goals are met. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who can lead by example, provide coaching, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain a safe, productive work environment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM, with occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Operations Manager to review production priorities and coordinate daily workflow.
- Assign and distribute work based on production schedules and changing business needs.
- Monitor production quality and address process issues, escalating concerns when appropriate.
- Help ensure production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Provide hands-on support to the production team as needed to keep operations running efficiently.
- Coach, train, and develop team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment through consistent communication and leadership.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures are followed.
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and opportunities for improvement with leadership.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with production schedules, routings, ERP systems, or manufacturing data systems is preferred.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as business needs require.
